A couple of weeks ago I had almost given up on the dry bean crop in our three sisters field of corn, beans and squash. Cucumber Beatles had done a number on the young bean plants. Some have survived and are thriving. They are climbing up the corn plants and flowering. We still have six good weeks of growing before we harvest the corn and squash so they have time to grow the beans.
